If you ever wondered why Don knows so much about the irrigation business, it's because he's been at it a very long time--since he was 14, in fact. Don worked on pump rigs in Ralls, Texas throughout high school and college. He graduated from Texas Tech with a B. S. degree in Agricultural Economics. After college, Don worked as an Account Analyst for Travelers Insurance Companies and as a Sales Engineer for Stewart and Stevenson. Diesel engines, pumps of all types and generators were his main focus. Don came to Muleshoe 1977 to start Irrigation Pumps and Power. In addition to his work at IPPI, Don serves on the Board of Directors of Muleshoe State Bank, as the Small Business Representative for the Llano Estacado Region O Water Planning Group and as a Director of the Texas Groundwater Association. |
